BUILDER BIO

My name is Leo Zerilli. I am first generation ltalian-American, a devoted family man, a finishing carpenter and a homebuilding contractor.

My construction experience came at very young age. My father came to this country as a finish carpenter. As he put it, ′′rain, snow or cold l can work aIl the time’’ and work he did! Just to spend time with my father, I would often go to work with him on the weekends and school breaks. I naturally took up his trade and started my own company right out of high school. I worked as a subcontractor for many different builders observing much about the building process and learning from these building companies. Some of it, what to do, and some, what not to do. 

I got my first break as a superintendent with the fourth largest builder in state during the construction boom of the early 2,000’s. During that time I built over 250 homes, assisted with over 300 condominiums, managed to marry the woman of my dreams and start a family. 

As a superintendent l was surrounded by teams: a design team, selection team and a sales team. By design of the company, l had limited access to the homeowners, only meeting them a few times while their house was being constructed.  l always felt l needed more access to my homeowners and a more open dialogue to really get things right. Details were lost in translation between ′′teams’’. 

When I started Belmont in 2016, I designed the structure to be more directly involved in every aspect of the build knowing that communication will always be a key to success. I take great pride in my work ethic, dedication to my homeowners and surround myself with subcontractors and team members that share my passion.
